Now that we have Socialized medicine firmly in place and the government control over automobile companies, banks, insurance companies, housing loans, and student loans, where do we go next? The next big thing is “Cap and Trade” which will be control of our energy. Within the bill that has passed the House of Representatives, there is a provision that issues a license for you house so if you want to sell it, you must meet certain environmental regulations before you can sell. ARTICLE I, SECTION 8 OF THE CONSTITUTION

GENERAL WELFARE CLAUSE OF THE CONSTITUTION
I heard statements reported from congressional representatives during the town hall meetings that the basis for Congress being able to pass these Socialized medicine proposals is the “General Welfare “ clause found in Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution. Is that what the “General Welfare” clause was intended by our forefathers? How can we continue to allow our so-called representatives in Congress ignore the Constitution? Now I’m not a lawyer, just a country boy with what some people consider a little bit of common sense. But, I can read the Constitution and, with a little understanding about where it came from and how it came into being, know that we aren’t following the words or the intent of that great document. PAY CONTROL
The Pay Czar, Kenneth Feinberg, has taken control of our national financial crisis by declaring that the outgoing head of Bank of America Corp., Kenneth Lewis, will receive no pay for the year 2009. He will, in fact, be required to return the pay that he has already received. In addition, he has declared that some employees of other companies who received government bail-out money will have their pays reduced by as much as ninety percent. Who is this Pay Czar and where does his authority come from to be able to make this proclamation? He was not elected! He
