Politics of Liberty

The Republicans once again have shown why they should not even be in office.  They went along with the budget deal which will ultimately result in the reduction of defense and in higher taxes.  There are no cuts in the spending at all.  There is only a slight reduction in the rate of increse in spending.  I see no difference in the Marxist in the White House and Senate and the Statist in the House of Representatives.  I will not cast another vote in the future for any Republican running.  My vote in every election will be for the Libitarian

To my congressman:              Now that the Republicans have retaken the majority in the House of Representatives, what will you do with that power?  Will you go back to spending and disregarding the Constitution as you did when George Bush was president and the Republicans had control of the House and the Senate?  Or will you change your ways and start abiding by the limitations in Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution?              I for one have a wish list that starts with repeal of every bill that has been passed since January, 2009 and start over.  Since I know that

Can you rely on what you read in the newspapers or hear from TV newscasts?  I think, in most cases, when it comes from national news sources we get opinions and half truths presented as factual news.  And to me, half truths are the worst   because there is enough truth presented to make it appear that the whole story is being told and therefore the reader’s conclusions are not based on everything he or she should have to consider.  As someone said long ago, I think it was Mark Twain but I may be wrong about who said it, anyone

Well, the election is over and even though I haven’t heard all of the final tabulations yet, it looks like the Republicans have retaken the House but not the Senate.  Now we’ll just have to wait and see if the Republicans were serious about following the Constitution and govern using that document.  I don’t trust either party.  Wait, that’s not true.  I do trust the Democrats.  I know what to expect from a Democrat.  I expect higher taxes and more redistribution (Marxist) programs; less liberty and more “social justice” (Marxism); and, treating the Constitution as if it were a “living

There are many Democrats running this year who are disavowing connections to Obama/Pelosi/Reid agenda.  I have a question for them.  How did Pelosi and Reid get to be your leaders in the House and Senate?  Did they come in with some ACORN thugs or SEIU thugs or the New Black Panthers thugs and kneecap everyone of you to take over?  Or did you vote them into their position?  These people set the legislative agenda for you to follow.  If they are your leaders, and they obviously are your leaders, then you support their agenda by giving them the position of
